Spiritual Hygiene
Spiritual hygiene is just as important as physical hygiene
If you have read my page on 'Energetic Protection', you will know by now that energy is easily transferable. Throughout the day and night, lower vibrational energies are able to lock on to us, causing our vibrations to be lowered.
Prior to energetically protecting yourself, I recommend that you clear and cleanse your aura to remove these unwanted frequencies from your energy field. Daily cleansing of your auric field will prevent you from becoming tired, anxious, run down, irritable, overwhelmed and emotional.

When you fail to clear and cleanse your energetic body, a build up of unwanted low vibrational energies and emotional pollutants can build up. Over time, a murky, cluttered and dense aura can lead to ill-health. When your aura is clean and clear, you feel well, positive, happy, uplifted, energised and focussed.
Personally, I like to cleanse my aura early in the morning and before I go to bed at night. I prefer to invoke the Violet Flame at bed time, so that I can receive a peaceful nights sleep knowing that my energetic body has been thoroughly cleared. For morning clearing, I either use my selenite wand and sound healing energy bar.
Here are some of my favourite aura cleaning methods: -
Violet Flame
Originating from Atlantis, the Violet Flame is one of the most powerful spiritual flames available to us. When we invoke the Violet Flame and the energies of Ascended Master St. Germain and Archangel Zadkiel, we are able to transmute all low, negative and imbalanced energies. For me, this is strongest method of clearing my aura and I invariably invoke the Violet Flame before bed.
Archangel Zadkiels and Master St.Germains energy can also be felt through the crystal Amethyst. So when you work with Amethyst you are essentially working with the Violet Flame.
You can recite this invocation to invoke the violet flame: -

"St Germain of the Violet Flame, please come and be with me
Come in St Germain of the Violet Flame
Please clear and energise my energy field
Transmute all that needs to be transmuted
Please uplift and raise my vibration so I may feel well
Thank you, St Germain of the Violet Flame".
If you prefer to work with the Cosmic Diamond Violet Flame, a version which incorporates the energy of Archangel Gabriel and Archangel Zadkiel, Ametrine crystal holds the angelic frequencies.

Selenite Crystal
Selenite is a wonderful crystal that can remove any unwanted energies from your aura. This is how I use my selenite wand to remove unwanted energies: -
First, set the intention for the crystal to clear and cleanse your aura of unwanted energy
Holding the crystal in your hand, trace the entire outline of your body with the crystal
I like to start on my left, beyond the tip of my fingers and slowly move up and around my body
You will need to swap the crystal over to your other hand as you move from the left to right
Make sure you pay attention to the areas where dense energy may have been gathered, such as under your arms, top of your thighs, back of the neck and under both soles of your feet.
Once you have traced the entire outline of your body, energetically 'throw' the unwanted energy out of the door or window, asking Mother Earth to use the energy for the greater good.
You can do this as many times as you need to through the day. Equally, this methods works well if you use a tuning fork or sound healing bar.
Cleansing Shower

Set the intention for the water to cleanse your aura and all of your energy centres.
When the water is cascading down over your body, imagine the water to be a divine white or purple light.
Imagine this light coming down over you and entering through the top of your head into your crown chakra.
Sense the light flowing through you and entering into each chakra.
Allow the light to move into every cell of your body, so that your body is ablaze with the divine light, clearing and cleansing anything that no longer serves you.
Next, sense the unwanted energy being washed away.
All the negativity from within you and around you is flowing from you down into the plug hole.
Mother Earth will use the unwanted energy as her fuel and transmute it into love and light.
If you do not have access to a shower, having a Himalayan salt bath is another method of removing unwanted energy and negativity. 'Dr Salts' makes a really lovely shower and bath gel with Himalayan Salts. Be sure to submerge your shoulders under the water to clear the energy at the back of you neck.
Essential Oils

The following essential oils are particularly helpful for removing negativity. (Safe to use with No Contra-Actions)
Rose
Carries the highest vibrational frequency of love.
Frankincense
Known to remove negativity influences in the body, aura, psychic and environment.
Lavender
Clears out energies that will not leave a space. Lavender is also relaxing and a natural sedative.
The next essential oils listed need to be used with caution
Use with care. Do not use if subject to seizures such as epilepsy or high blood pressure, avoid use during pregnancy and whilst breast feeding
Sage
Neutralises existing negativity and makes a psychic shield against tensions. Very popular in Native American Cultures, Shaman, Pagans and Wiccans.
Palo Santo
Helps to clear the home of bad energy and brings in good luck.
The Palo Santo tree is currently endangered and is on a watch-list, please be mindful of this.
